Clawdia’s Secret™ was officially launched into the marketplace on October 29, 2007. For over four years, Blue Seal Feeds, Inc. and Saltwater Marketing, LLC worked in conjunction with the Lobster Institute as well as a select group of Maine and Canadian lobstermen to test a series of experimental lobster bait products by evaluating formulations and product form. This was a long process because we wanted to find the very best combination of ingredients that would do three things. First, we wanted the product to attract lobsters. Second, we wanted the product to have the durability to hold together in a trap over an extended period of time. And, third, we were absolutely committed to manufacturing a product that was both environmentally friendly and safe for lobsters to eat.

How effective is Clawdia’s Secret™ in attracting lobsters?
Clawdia’s Secret™ has consistently lasted and fished well for 12–14 days (or three hauls) when used in combination with fresh fish bait. Fishing well is defined as catching an equal or greater number of lobsters when compared to traps set in the same area with fresh fish bait.
Why is it called a lobster bait booster?
Clawdia’s Secret™ has been very effective as a bait booster or extender. You use just one piece along with a small amount of your fresh fish bait.
